6. Deaf kids in Nicaragua created a completely new sign language out of scratch when placed in deaf schools, after rejecting the sign language the teachers attempted to teach. It is now the official sign language of Nicaragua. – Source

7. A teacher in South Carolina started a ‘Gentleman’s Club’ for more than 60 at-risk children to teach them important life lessons and social skills and support them so that they would grow up to become successful adults. He even provides donated jackets and ties to students who cannot afford them. – Source

8. In 2009, A man was unable to cash a check at a Bank of America branch in Tampa, Florida, because he could not provide a thumbprint. The man has two prosthetic arms. The bank later issued an apology. – Source
