Here are 5 things you should know.
1. Eating chicken or pork instead of beef saves about 80% as much in carbon emissions as going vegetarian.
Cows create the most climate-change-causing emissions of any common farm animal.
According to this study, if you ate rice instead of beef once a week for a year, you would save 326 kilos of carbon. Chicken / Pork save 266 and 270 respectively – a large fraction of that 320. This is also taking into account methane for its effect on climate change and counting it as an equivalent amount of carbon. Cows release a lot of methane (lol yes farts) and it’s enough to severely impact the climate.
You don’t need to radically change your life to start steering in the right direction. Make chicken or pork your default option when picking out your protein, or get the veggie option once in a while. Yes, there are bigger and better changes we could (and will probably need to) make to save the planet. But all you need to do to get started is ask for chicken instead of steak at Chipotle.

3. The custom of serving champagne in a flute does a disservice to the champagne. The ideal glass to serve champagne in (for maximum flavor) is a “slightly dirty” wine glass.
Apparently, the wider mouth of a wine glass lets the champagne breathe more. The “slightly dirty” bit is a reference to how lint particles promote bubble production.

4. A *.scr file is just an *.exe file in disguise.
Windows uses the scr file suffix for screensavers. Screensavers in windows are nothing more than executable files that are running fullscreen. This means that running an untrusted scr file is just as bad as running an untrusted exe file.
5. Your medication doses might need to change if you gained/lost weight.
If you’re significantly heavier or lighter than when you started your med, check in with your doctor to see if your dose needs to be adjusted!
