We would like to announce to our readers that you SHOULD delete our android app if you have it on your mobile device. You can access our site easily at www.kickassfacts.com. You can bookmark it. When we started our site, as was the trend at that time, we had decided to launch an android app. Since none of us had the technical expertise to design an app nor funds to pay someone to design it, we used a third-party website(for a very small fee) to make a small app that redirected the users using the app to our mobile site. What we didn’t know was that slowly that third party site was injecting ads and redirecting our readers to other sites without our knowledge. When some of the readers complained that we were serving too many ads on our site, we were scratching our heads as we were only using non-intrusive banner ads with no redirects or popups. Now we know what was at play. We are sorry that we didn’t pay a lot of attention to this aspect. We have delete the app from the app store for now. Now we are thinking of doing a complete site makeover and we will take a decision soon if we really want an app since there is no difference if you view the site in the mobile browser or an app. Site makeover is still going to take a lot of months, so if you have any suggestions that you want to make, we will be happy to implement it.
Delete Our Android App

Good move. I think you should concentrate on the content and possibly the redesign of the site, an app is really not necessary. Since I’m a daily visitor I even think about unsubscribing the newsletter for the same reason. Keep up the work, your stories are amazing!
Wow you guys have a lot of respect for your readers I really admire that. You guys have my support.
Please no video ad that abruptly jump the page to the video!
Your fact about Jehovah’s Witnesses predicting the end of the world falsely 20 times is wrong, I grew up as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and though I am no longer a practicing memeber I have nothing but respect for this group of people. Jehovah’s Witnesses have never predicted the end of the world, in fact the bible even tells us that “it will come as a theif in the night”. There may have been individuals that have guessed its date, but as a group we have never and will never say when it is because we don’t know. So to say that we have is not true. I respect your site and enjoy reading it, but if you put something completely false like this up what else have you posted that’s not true? Please do the right thing with this information.
Thanks so much for caring about your readers! I have it bookmarked and visit daily, but hearing what you’ve said to your readers lately makes me an even more loyal fan!
If you were to make a mobile app, it should be something unique, like a PicFact flash cards browser.
Keep up the good work!
