1. Before you give your child a unique name, try it out first. Use it on food orders, reservations, appointments where applicable, etc. It’ll give you a glimpse of what they’ll deal with when they’re older and could prevent future issues.
2. Make a “gift list” on your phone starting on January 1st of every year. Whenever someone you typically buy gifts for mentions something they want or need, write it down in the gift list. This way you’ll have a list of things to get that person when the gift-giving season comes around.
3. Take random pictures of your SO interacting with your child(ren), not just the posed perfect ones.
These common moments are where the most magic happens, especially during the holidays.
4. If you want a cat to like you when it makes eye contact with you, give it a slow “blink” in both your eyes, it makes them know you are not a threat and want to be friends.
5. If you really want something for a special occasion, don’t expect to get it from anyone. Rather, look forward to getting it to yourself after the occasion. You will be happy with whatever you get from loved ones.
