MLK jr. was not a Republican and even his niece has stopped perpetuating that lie.
I wondered about that myself, because if he denounced the Democrat Party as being socialist, why would he try to organize a march demanding jobs, health care, and decent homes for the poor – something a socialist would do?
Don’t forget he was in favour of affirmative action as well as openly talked about how Socialist his economic philosophy was.
