    As a teacher, during parent-teacher meetings saying to another adult “Carry on with the inventory”/”Stick with the stock job” or anything else involving an excuse to unobtrusively hang around the stock cupboard means “Stay in the room – I do not want to be alone with this person.” Usually used when meeting with parents who aren’t physically threatening, but can be slippery eg later claiming you said/did things you didn’t.
